‘Gran Turismo Sport’ Update Brings Even more Cars & Time Trials to ‘PSVR Mode’

When Gran Turismo Sport first launched for the PlayStation 4 some PSVR owners were disappointed to find that PlayStation VR support only featured in one mode.   Polyphony Digital has announced the latest Gran Turismo Sport update . That lets PSVR owners take a crack at all available circuits in a new time trial mode.

Gran Turismo Sport’ Update Even more Cars & Time Trials to PSVR

GT Sport isn’t exactly a fully fledged PSVR title as such, since you can’t play the full game in VR. You’re instead relegated to a much less extensive “VR Arcade” mode that features all racetracks but only a single AI opponent with a non-adjustable (and frankly laughable) difficulty. Playstation PSVR owners have been keenly requesting more VR content in the title, with Kazunori Yamauchi President, Polyphony Digital, mentioning in a statement:

“One of our most often received requests to date has been the expansion of GT Sport’s thrilling VR mode. So, with the latest patch, PlayStation VR owners will have the chance to hit the track in a series of challenging time trials. Players will also now earn rewards in both Time Trial and VR Tour modes!”
