Jumanji: The Next Level Official Trailer: The Hilarious action comedy returns

Sony has Revealed a Hilarious First Trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level , The highly anticipated third instalment in the series and sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle . Welcome to the Jungle became a massive success at the box office by becoming the second-highest grossing movie in Sony’s history and now it looks like the sequel will break that record.

The story picks up some time after the events of the previous movie, when four teenagers ended up in the bodies of video game avatars . Nerdy Spencer became a tough, muscular explorer and archaeologist named Dr. Smolder Bravestone ; sporty Fridge inhabited the body of a skinny zoologist named Franklin “Mouse” Finbar;  Mean girl Bethany was turned into an overweight male cartographer named Professor Sheldon Oberon; and brainiac Martha became a female commando and martial arts expert named Ruby Roundhouse.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are back as the in-game characters. But Danny Glover and Danny DeVito play two elderly gents who accidentally get mixed up in the hi-jinks.

It seems that after they destroyed the Jumanji video game at the end of Welcome to the Jungle, Spencer (Alex Wolff) couldn’t move on and he decides to salvage the game to head back in.

The official synopsis “In Jumanji: The Next Level, the gang is back but the game has changed.

“As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black return in addition toAlex Wolff , Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Colin Hanks, and Nick Jonas. In addition to Danny DeVito and Danny Glover, Awkwafina joins the cast.

Jumanji: The Next Level is currently scheduled for release on December 13, 2019. That gives it exactly one week before Star Wars: Episode IX takes over the box office
