Yes that’s right. Mario Kart Tour is a new game to the kart-racing franchise. For a long while now I have been hoping that this long-running kart-racing franchise would be available via an Android (being an android devotee). The new pocket size game lands on 25h September on iPhones, iPads and Android devices, it is the first game in the Mario Kart series to not be available to a Nintendo system.
without doubt Mario Kart Tour looks like it could be a lot of fun to play . And being someone who doesn’t tend to play many mobile games , I will definitely be installing and playing this one. I am curious to see how it compares playing a racing game on a touch-screen opposed to using a game-pad, I doubt very much it will suffice using a control pad but this is 2019:the era of ‘touchscreen’.
Mario Kart has always been a game I have been a fan of since its release in1992. It will be interesting to see if Mario Kart Tour introduces more people particularly young people to the pleasures of the karting series and possibly nudge them towards the treats of console gaming-which of course is Nintendo’s plan and not a bad one at that. Hopefully a full-fledged Mario Kart game will be released in the near future on the Nintendo Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is amazing BUT it was a Wii U game before it was ported to the Switch.

So long as Nintendo doesn’t over-monetize with this game as their strategy has been all over the place when it comes to mobile games and we all know there’s nothing like poorly-implemented microtransactions to ruin a decent mobile game. Not long until we find out…
