NBA 2K18 Relseasing sooner then exspected , The Countdown for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch begins

THE NBA 2K18 early release date is almost upon us, with fans on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch able to play four days before the official launch.

The NBA 2K18 early release date has been set for September 15 but is only available for those who pre-order the game. The official Early Tip-Off Edition which will grant gamers access four days earlier than the offical release date . This special version of the game is available on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, although time is running out to get it.

Here are the early release schedules as confirmed by 2K for this week:

INTL release times: NBA 2K18 available in stores & digitally at 12 AM local time Friday where you live (check neighborhood retailer to confirm).

US release: NBA 2K18 available at participating retailers 9PM local time Thursday where you live. Available digitally 12AM ET Friday / 9PM PT Thursday.

Everyone else has to wait until September 19, although there’s also the option of downloading the NBA 2K18 Prelude demo. The download size is around 11.76 GB and offers a taste of what’s to come on September 19

For those who do have the early edition, the pre-load is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It should be noted that while the digital version of NBA 2K18 will be available on Nintendo Switch on the same date as PS4 and Xbox One, a physical release is happening later.

According to the latest reports, the hit Basketball franchise won’t be available to buy off the shelf until October 17.And pre-ordering NBA 2K18 from the Nintendo eShop advertises the same early unlock day as PS4 and Xbox One.

It’s also been revealed that some Nintendo Switch games being released will require a MicroSD card. NBA 2K18 has been confirmed as one such upcoming title, meaning for those buying the game there could be an extra cost involved.

“A microSD card will be needed for certain Nintendo Switch games that contain an especially large amount of content and require additional storage for players to enjoy the full experience,” a statement from Nintendo explains . It appears that Nintendo are making sure fans know before they buy a game, with new updated box art confirming whether an SD card is required.

For those who buy these new Switch games but don’t fancy splashing out further, Nintendo have revealed that portions of these titles will be accessible. By purchasing a physical version of a game that requires an additional microSD memory card, gamers will be able to play a portion of the game right out of the box.

However, to enjoy the full game, downloading additional data will be required and it may be necessary to purchase a microSD card to expand storage space.
