Square Enix’s mysterious Outriders project , is a brand new sci-fi FPS from People Can Fly, the developers of Bulletstorm, and Square Enix
News of this project began to spread when an Outriders Twitter account was created in 2017 though the first signs of activity weren’t Until yesterday. All of the tweets so far are mission logs from a trip across space. Providing little glimpses into the journey of the Flores, a ship heading towards “humanity’s last hope . The account’s purpose became much clearer recently with a final tweet, featuring a short video of a character waking from cryostasis, ditchinge mission log format to announce that Outriders will feature during Square Enix’s E3 Conference at E3 2019 .
The New teaser which i’ll embed below doesn’t really tell us what Outriders actually is . The setup sounds like it could be a alien survival game . Battling your way through an unknown enemy on a newly found planet , a space station , Or just a gripping race for survival while travelling through deep. There’s been some speculation that it’s another Marvel game. Outriders, could be a agressive species of dog-like aliens, that feature in both most recent Avengers movies.
The name Outriders was trademarked last year, confirming that it was a collaboration with Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly. People Can Fly previously worked on Bulletstorm and the Xbox exclusive Gears of War: Judgement.
Square Enix’s E3 conference is set to be packed with new gameplay and reveals. Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics will be making its debut Dying Light 2, Babylon’s Fall and Final Fantasy VII Remake and more . Square Enix’s E3 showcase is scheduled to take place next week, at 2am on Tuesday, 11th June in the UK.
